Registered Nurse - Cancer and Blood Services (0.8 FTE)

About the role
Are you passionate about Oncology and Haematology Nursing? Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Cancer & Blood Services located at the Jim Carney Cancer Treatment Centre.
Full orientation and training will be provided.
The primary function of this role is to utilise professional knowledge and skill to provide a holistic approach to Cancer nursing care that is safe, of the highest quality possible and in accordance with:
- Te Whatu Ora policies
- Registered Nurse Scope of Practice
- Nursing Practice Standards
- Nursing Council of NZ Registered Nurse competencies
- Nursing Council code of conduct
- eviQ guidelines
Cytotoxic competency is desirable but not essential, as this can be done online with support and guidance from our unit Facilitators
This is a permanent 0.8 FTE position working 32 hours per week.
Key Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities
- Appropriate level of PDRP or working towards
