Community Mental Health Nurse - Far North (0.8 FTE, fixed term)

About the role
Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Te Whatu Ora is looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Community Mental Health and Addictions team based in Kaitaia. This is a part time role (32 hours per week) and is fixed term until July 2023.
The primary function of this role is to provide nursing care in consultation and partnership with the patient/client/family/whānau, where the rights and needs of all people are acknowledged within the context of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
You will participate as an effective member of the wider organisation ensuring there is an integrated approach with supporting people in the Te Kokonga Hauora Sub Acute Unit.
Key Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities
- Good computer skills
- Work for an on-call roster
- Current drivers licence
Recent mental health and addictions experience is highly desirable.
