Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist

The Mental Health and Addiction Services at Northland DHB are seeking a Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist to join the team. Currently this is a 0.8 FTE position working around 32 hours per week; however we are very open to hearing from those looking for a full-time position.
The Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist primarily provides psychiatric assessment and management to patients presenting at Whangarei Hospital as well as consultation to other specialist teams. Here is your opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team contributing to an integrated model of service delivery in both outpatient and inpatient settings whilst working in partnership with other health; social and community sectors.

To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in either a vocational or locum tenens - special purpose Psychiatry scope of practice. FRANZCP and / or post graduate qualifications, however happy to hear from those near completion of their studies. If you are currently overseas / not yet registered, we can assist you with the application process to obtain MCNZ registration. Northland District Health Board is also an Approved Accredited Employer by New Zealand Immigration.
