About the role:

Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves. Right now, Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is looking for an exceptional Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join the Child Health Team as a Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapist.

 

If you are looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge and have an interest in working with tamariki and their whānau, join our supportive multi-disciplinary Child Health team.

 

Previous experience in paediatrics is essential. Our highly experienced team will support you and share their knowledge to assist you in developing your clinical skills and knowledge.

 

We are a Northland wide service that offers flexibility to our team, so welcome applications from candidates either based in or relocating to Northland. This role covers all of Northland, so candidates based anywhere in Northland will be considered.

 

In this role you will be providing assessment, therapy management, education and support in partnership with whānau to enable tamariki with developmental concerns aged 0-3 years to achieve optimum function and wellbeing.

 

What you will bring:

  • An interest in paediatrics with a passion for seeing tamaraki and their whānau thrive
  • Willingness to continually learn and develop as a clinician
  • NZ registration as either an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist (new graduate applications are welcomed)
  • A current practicing certificate
  • Full drivers licence (as travel is required throughout the community)
  • Strong engagement, communication and relationship building skills
