Community Support Worker - Family Harm Reduction, Te Roopu Kimiora Far North Mental Health and Addictions Services (0.8FTE, fixed term)

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work in the Far North reducing the impact of family harm. You will be based at the Kaitaia Child and Youth Community Mental Health site and work under the supervision of the Family Harm Reduction Practitioner.

About the Role
In this role you will work under the supervision of the Family Harm Reduction Practitioner and in partnership with Iwi/Māori, Police Oranga Tamariki, Corrections, Education and Specialist NGOs to provide support to people affected by family violence to assist their mental health and wellbeing. This is a fixed-term position ending on 1st February 2024 on a 0.8 FTE basis working 32 hours per week.
About You
Previous experience of working with people with mental health or addiction challenges would be an advantage, however if you haven't worked in this area and you possess a positive, proactive outlook and are a team player, we would love to hear from you as we provide a comprehensive training and education package. A current full drivers licence is essential.
