Community Support Worker - Far North Mental Health and Addictions Services (1.0 FTE and x2 0.2 FTE, permanent)

About the Role
We have an opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work in our Far North Mental Health and Addictions Service as a Community Support Worker either fulltime (40 hours per week) or part time.
Te Whatu Ora is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Māori as Tāngata Whenua as the highest priority.
In this role you will work in the residential Te Kokonga Sub Acute Unit providing care and support to clients and their whānau to achieve their goals. You will work with the team to support clients health and wellbeing in order to reduce crises and inpatient admissions.
About You
Previous experience of working with people with mental health challenges would be an advantage, however if you haven't worked in this area and you possess a positive, proactive outlook and are a team player, we would love to hear from you as we provide a comprehensive training and education package. A current full drivers licence is essential.
