Registered Health Clinician - Child and Family Therapist - Mental Health and Addictions Services (1.0 FTE, permanent)

About the role
Right now, we are looking for an exceptional Registered Health Clinician - Child and Family Therapist to join a dynamic and friendly service in a permanent 1.0 FTE position working 40 hours per week. This is a permanent position based in Te Roopu Kimiora, Mental Health and Addictions Services, Whangarei.
Te Roopu Kimiora is a secondary care mental health service seeing young people/ rangatahi aged 0-18 who have severe to moderate mental health concerns. We work alongside the young person and their whānau to achieve goals that are set collaboratively so they can live to their fullest potential. We have a range of clinicians who work closely together as a multi-disciplinary team to provide psychotherapeutic and relational assessments and interventions for rangatahi.
The Registered Health Clinician - Child and Family Therapist also provides a range of other services to support the development and function of their team and the organisation as a whole. These activities include: case consultation, staff training and supervision, involvement in service development activities, and research and evaluation-related activities.
Provision of clinical services across the Te Tai Tokerau region is a core activity of this role, and there is also opportunity for innovative involvement and leadership in activities to support the development of improved services both within the team and the MHAS service.
About you:
- Registered Health Clinician with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Police clearance to meet contractual requirements and the Children's Act 2014
- A full drivers licence with no limitations
- Experienced with working in a multi-disciplinary team
- At least 3 years clinical experience working within mental health and addictions
- Experience engaging with families with children and youths
- Experience of emotional, psychosocial assessment, mental state assessment, developmental assessments working with family/whanau and therapeutic interventions
- Committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
