This position is suitable for Junior and Senior Physiotherapists who have completed rotational roles. Rotations or placements completed in medical, surgical, cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal and neurology are essential. Additional skills in amputee and vestibular rehabilitation, oncology, hand therapy or pelvic health would be advantageous but not essential.
The role:
- Provide Physiotherapy care across key clinical areas – inpatients, outpatients and community rehabilitation
- Manage a clinical caseload according to best practice standards
- Maintain and improve skills
- Work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
Key requirements:
- Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of NZ with a current APC
- Demonstrated client-centred practice
- Effective and compassionate communicator with a wide range of people
- An understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and its relevance to health and a willingness to upskill in Māori health/tikanga
