Start your journey with Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau - right now we are looking for an exceptional Psychologist who has experience in working with individuals with chronic health conditions.
This is a part time 20 hours per week fixed term position ending 6 June 2023 to provide a maternity leave cover.
The purpose of this role is to provide effective and efficient psychological assessment and treatment to individuals who have renal impairment and their Whanau/families in Northland who experience psychological or emotional issues related to their condition, with the aim of assisting them to achieve optimum functioning and well-being.
Key requirements to be succesful in this role:
- Registered with the NZ Psychologist Board (NZPB) with a current practicing certificate
- Comprehensive psychological assessment and treatment skills
- Clinical experience with working with individuals with chronic health conditions
- Proficient in evidence-based practice
- The ability to work with a wide variety of clients including those from various cultural/ethnic backgrounds
