Clinical Pharmacist - Whangarei Hospital

The Role
Right now, we are looking for exceptional Clinical Pharmacists to join our team. This role will provide a comprehensive, effective and safe pharmaceutical service to patients and staff in the Northern region, primarily based at Whangarei hospital. Hours of work for these positions are 32-40 hours per week.
- Medicine reconciliation, discharge support, chart reviews, therapeutic drug monitoring
- Attend allocated wards and departments to provide an individualised, comprehensive, clinical pharmacy service
- Ensure patients receive appropriate medication for safe and effective treatment
- Liaise with community pharmacies to ensure clear communication of medication requirements at transfers of care
- Provide medication information upon request according to medicine information standards
- Participate in training and supervising interns, trainees, and undergraduate students
The salary range for this role is $63,702 - $85,992.
Skills and experience required:
- High degree of IT literacy
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work alone as well as be part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to manage your workload and prioritise tasks appropriately
Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferable, but not essential.
