Kai Takawaenga - Community Mental Health & Addiction Services
Right now, we invite you to apply for an exciting opportunity for Kai Takawaenga within our community mental health team, with matauranga of Te Tai Tokerau rohe, iwi, and tikanga, based in the Whangārei rohe.
This role is part time working 32 hours per week in Te Roopu Whitiora, Community Māori Mental Health Service.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working in Te Ao Maori and Te Ao Pakeha, working alongside tāngata whaiora and their whānau living with the effects of mental illness and addictions in our community.
You will have the ability to communicate and advocate for tāngata whaiora and their whānau, collaborate effectively with other members of the team, and engage Māori in making choices that enhance their wellbeing.
A commitment to improving health outcomes for Māori, cultural safety, care quality, and providing cultural recommendations to improve well-being is desired.
This is a community-based role, you must have a valid full drivers licence.
The successful applicant will work alongside other Kai Mahi Maori within a supportive team environment of health professionals that is committed to delivering an excellent clinical and cultural service that reflects the needs of our tāngata whaiora and their whānau.
