About the Role

The purpose of this role is to work under the direction/delegation of Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care which is safe and of the highest possible quality, in accordance with standards of practice and the Mental Health and Addiction Services policies and procedures.

We are looking for that positive team player to join the team, who will be able to work in partnership with clients and family/whanau and provide Mental Health and Addiction Nursing services as an active, supportive and collaborative member of the multidisciplinary team

About the Team/Service/ Location

Timatanga Hou is a short stay 8-bed unit supporting people going through detox/withdrawal from substances of addiction. We are a fun-loving and close knit supportive team, focused on work life balance and creating a roster that works for you so you can enjoy all the winterless North has to offer.

About you

Key requirements of the role:

• Enrolled Comprehensive Nurse with current practicing certificate
• Current clean driver's license
• Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of mental health and addiction nursing theory, practice, legal boundaries and ethical concerns
