Clinical Charge Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (1.0FTE)

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated ICU Nurse who is looking to step up to a clinical leadership and management role within Te Tai Tokerau ICU based at Whangārei Hospital.
Te Tai Tokerau is the northern most hospital, part of Health New Zealand (HNZ). The ICU is made up of a close knit and supportive team of clinicians with a commitment to professional development, innovation and motivation to make a positive difference to the people we serve, the clinical teams we work with and to each other.
You will be an experienced ICU nurse with a positive and professional approach, ability to work calmly under pressure, with the emotional intelligence and experience to manage and support the clinical nursing team across clinical shifts. You will role model the values of the organisation as you support and manage the nursing team over designated shifts 24/7.

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a mix of 8 hour and 12 hour rostered shifts.
Key Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate
- Relevant PG Diploma
- Designated Senior Nurse PDRP or Expert
- At least 5 years' experience in Intensive Care/High Dependency Nursing
- Experience in shift coordination
A proven Leadership experience is highly desirable.
