Our Kaupapa

Is to eliminate the stigma around perinatal mental health in Aotearoa New Zealand by championing awareness and facilitating best practice in perinatal mental health and wellbeing to ensure all families and whānau have equitable access to appropriate information and support.

Purpose of Position

The Fundraising Administrator is responsible for coordinating fundraising activities with a focus on grants, events, and sponsorship. Reporting to the General Manager this role plays a crucial part in PADA's growth and sustainability.

Key Activities

  • Grow grant income through research, writing, and submission of grant applications and accountability reports to help PADA achieve its mission by generating a sustainable, consistent income stream.
  • Tracking grant expenditure.
  • Add to the grants calendar and record all information through our Fundraiser Pro database.
  • Manage peer-to-peer fundraising events.
  • Create and organize fundraising events.
  • Connect with corporate and partner organizations.

Qualification and experience

  • A minimum two years' experience in fundraising in the charity sector is preferable.
  • A minimum two years' experience in grant writing.
  • Experience in using grant portals such as Flux and Smartygrants.
  • Experience in using databases such as Fundraiser Pro.
  • Sound understanding of fundraising principles and practices.
  • Sound understanding of the theory and practices of grant management.
  • A commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Experience in organising small events and other fundraising activities.
  • High levels of written and oral communication.
  • An understanding and empathy about perinatal mental health.
  • Knowledge and experience of Tikanga Māori and Te Reo Māori is an advantage.
