Primary Mental Health Clinician (0.6 FTE)

An exciting opportunity has become available in our Richmond based office for the following role:
Primary Mental Health Clinician
24 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
We are looking for an experienced registered health profession to join the Nelson Bays Primary Health Brief Intervention Service (BIS).
The Brief Intervention Service (BIS) utilises evidence-based practice to provide brief and goal focused behavioural interventions to people who are suffering from mild to moderate mental health issues.
About you:
- Have current registration with a registering body under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA) and a current annual practicing certificate.
- Experience working with clients and their Whanau in a clinical setting.
- Experience in working in evidence based therapeutic models, and brief psychological interventions,
- A flexible, helpful, positive, and adaptive disposition, with willingness to embrace a new way of working.
- Skills in working in a busy client focused team.
- Qualifications in CBT or ACT/FACT would be considered an advantage, as will a strong understanding of Tikanga Māori.
