Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)
In this exciting and high profile role will have responsibility for the attainment of operational excellence across our Mental Health & Addictions service. Working in close partnership with the General Manager MH&A, Director of Nursing and Midwifery, ADON Workforce Development and wider MH&A team, you will drive and deliver the nursing strategy for the Mental Health & Addictions service. You will be responsible for inspiring, developing, motivating and empowering our nurses to deliver care at the top of their scope, while improving the patient and whānau experience.

You will be an innovative thought leader and guide to the inter-disciplinary hospitals-based teams across Te Whatu Ora Nelson Marlborough. You will lead the implementation and advancement of professional knowledge and skills.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated mental health nursing leadership experience
- Previous experience of being a DAO of the Mental Health Act
- Commitment to patient-centred care and service delivery
- Extensive expert senior nursing leadership experience and skills
- Ability to function at a high level in the contemporary New Zealand health environment
- Current New Zealand Nursing Council registration as a Registered Nurse
- Holds, or is concluding a Masters degree qualification
- Flexibility and vigour in critical clinical analysis
- Evidence based decision making.
