Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

This role provides psychological assessment, consultation, and treatment for people with chronic and severe physical health conditions which significantly impact on their mental wellbeing.

The position is central to the delivery of cancer psychological and social support services to our Nelson Marlborough population, working collaboratively with the Oncology Team, Social Work colleagues, Regional Psychology Lead, other allied health staff and services.

This is a part-time position with flexibility to work from 0.3FTE (24 hours per fortnight) up to 0.6FTE (48 hours per fortnight) Monday - Friday. Please let us know your preferred number of hours in your cover letter.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)

The role has been designed for an experienced clinician who has excellent skills in relationship development and networking. You will have proven clinical expertise to support our system to be better integrated to improve our ability to be responsive, holistic, person centred and recovery focussed.  You must demonstrate an awareness of the wider social determinants of health and you will ensure you contributions support the strengthening our system-wide priorities.

You will have not less than 12 months experience in health or clinical psychology, (including practicum experience during training), and experience in therapy with people with physical health difficulties and concerns.

You are required to provide proof that you have completed your primary course of NZ approved Covid-19 vaccinations.
