Reporting to the Manager, Mental Health and Addiction Service this new
role has been established to provide primary addiction care support for the community
and focus on outreach and partnerships with clients and their families.
The role itself is to provide early intervention with the least
disruption for people who are at risk of alcohol and/or other drug
dependency. The service will be flexible
and accessible and play a part in educating on the effects of alcohol and drug use.
Right now were looking for a registered health care professional such as
a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social worker or Accredited Counsellor
to be a key member of the mental health and addiction services within primary
care and to work in collaboration with all primary and specialist clinical
service areas.
The successful person in this role will be able to motive, inspire, engage and will actively contribute to a multi-disciplinary model of care. Additionally the person will;
- Have experience of working within mental health and addiction
- Be able to work in a self directed way as well as build collaboration across the sector
- Be a role model for clinical excellence
The person needs to be registered in New Zealand and hold a
current APC.
