Nurse Practitioner, STAR 4 Horowhenua
Matanga Tapuhi Nurse Practitioner (NP) positions available, STAR 4 ward, Horowhenua Health Centre

A nurse practitioner (NP) is an expert practitioner, providing independent, advanced clinical nursing expertise for patients and their families / whānau.
We are seeking NPs with gerontology and/or rehabilitation clinical expertise to join our multidisciplinary Horowhenua Health Centre Inpatient Ward (Star 4) team.
The role includes rostered rotating shifts (including weekends) distributed across the team of NPs. Full time or part-time positions are available.
These newly established roles will work in partnership with the Star 4 Geriatrician, Charge Nurse, and wider MDT to provide:
- High quality, advanced clinical holistic assessment, and diagnosis
- Culturally appropriate and well-coordinated treatment
- Clinical oversight, care, and management of patients and whānau receiving Star 4 services.
In additional to ward-based service delivery, over time the NP role will also contribute to Te Uru Whakamauora – Healthy Ageing and Rehabilitation Horowhenua community-based service delivery (including outpatient clinic, community and home-based patient assessment, treatment, evaluation and follow up as required).

Horowhenua Health Centre, based in Levin is 45 minutes away from Palmerston North Hospital. STAR 4 is a 20 bedded rehabilitation ward within the Centre
