Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatū, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking to recruit a health care assistant to work in our Rehabilitation and Older Adult Mental Health areas.
This is a permanent role working rostered, rotating shifts, 0.8 FTE (32 hours a week).
Applications are sought for people with a passion for working in both the Rehabilitation and Older Adult Mental Health environment.
The role will involve care of both the physical and psychological health needs of older adult as well as working with younger individuals who require in-patient rehabilitation.
To be considered you will need to be able to demonstrate:
- Adaptability and flexibility to adapt to changes as required
- A strongly developed customer focus
- Be a team member
- Being physically capable for patient care and to complete the SPEC programme
- An ability to be highly organized, with lots of initiative
- Professional behaviour and presentation.
