Come join our supportive team caring for complex surgical patients. There is never a dull moment and always opportunities to develop your skills in advanced pain management, UWSD management, AirVo, advanced wound therapies such as Veriflow VAC and caring for the deteriorating patient among other skills.
Two years' experience as a New Zealand registered nurse or Nursing Council equivalent registered nurse in an acute secondary care facility, ideally with surgical ward or other acute experience eg Peri-operative, Operating Theatre/Emergency/ICU.
Three year's post registration experience in an equivalent secondary care facility outside New Zealand AND completion of the CAP training.
Ward 29 has a permanent position available (0.8 FTE), working rostered, rotating shifts.
We need staff who work quick, think fast and who meet the meet the above criteria. Surgical services inpatient wards provide acute/elective services for patients of varying ages and a variety of surgical conditions. The roles are challenging, varied and offer an opportunity to join an enthusiastic, progressive nursing team who pride themselves on providing quality nursing care to patients/families.
