Advanced Clinical Dietitian

The Opportunity
MidCentral operates an integrated model of clinical service delivery. Te Uru Ruahī, our Mental Health & Addictions services are responsible for the commissioning and delivery of Mental Health & Addiction services across the rohe (District). We are setting up a multidisciplinary Eating Disorder Specialist team within our adult mental health and addiction services which is made up of Allied Health, nursing, and medical staff. Our new eating disorder service is focused on developing talking therapies and related interventions across our three districts and includes a strong interdisciplinary team approach. This model of care is working effectively in our Child Adolescent Mental Health Service.
As part of the co-ordinated system of care for those individuals with a suspected or confirmed eating disorder in our adult specialist services, we are seeking to appoint a fulltime (1.0 FTE) Advanced Clinical Dietitian to the team.
The eating disorder roles will sit in the Manawatu Locality (Palmerston North and Feilding catchment area) but may also provide some services across the rohe. The eating disorder services will be delivered in line with national and international evidence based best practice principles.
We are looking for a Clinical Dietitian who is highly motivated, is committed to ensuring culturally responsive care, and is excited by supporting recovery using contemporary practice models. The role will work closely with other professionals in the eating disorder team and with the wider mental health and addiction workforce.
