Ko te kaupapa | About the role
Te Whatu Ora - Whanganui is seeking applications from a suitability qualified Registered Nurse who has the skills and expertise to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. The successful candidate needs to be passionate and motivated about the delivery of healthcare to our population who have long-term conditions.
This role has a core focus on providing complex level care, leadership expertise and education of patients and whānau and members of the health care team.
You must be able to demonstrate that you are a Registered Nurse working or having the ability to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and that your scope of practice enables you to undertake the duties of this position. Prescribing in this role would be an advantage.

The following skills, and abilities are required:
- A current Clinical Nurse Specialist or Registered Nurse with a variety of experience in long term conditions.
- Confident to manage patients with long term conditions.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to provide leadership to others.
- Evidence of quality initiatives in past roles.
If you are a dynamic Nurse Practitioner with loads of enthusiasm, are a self-starter with the ability to think outside the square and have the desire to achieve we would love to hear from you.
