Kāinga Whakatipu (Healthy Homes) Delivery Team
The Kāinga Whakatipu HHI team are looking for someone who is passionate about Healthy Homes and building trusted relationships with whānau to join us as a Kaitautoko based in Taitoko/Levin.
Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua (Te Whatu Ora – MidCentral) is the Healthy Homes Initiative (HHI) provider for the MidCentral rohe. The aim of the HHI is to increase the number of tamariki and their whānau/aiga living in warm, dry, and healthy homes and consequently enhance their health and wellbeing i.e., by reducing the number of housing-related hospitalisations.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Kāinga Whakatipu delivery team, visiting eligible hapū māmā, tamariki and whānau/aiga in their homes. The Kaitautoko will work alongside whānau/aiga to provide healthy housing education, a healthy housing assessment and facilitate access to a range of interventions to support them to live in warm, dry, and healthy homes.
This role will be based in Taitoko/Levin and will cover the Horowhenua District and Ōtaki. The kaitautoko will be employed by Te Whatu Ora – MidCentral but will also work closely with kaimahi within Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, Raukawa Whānau Ora and Te Puna Oranga o Ōtaki. The kaitautoko will develop relationships, networks, and partnerships within the local community to build the supply of interventions to make local homes warmer and drier.
