About the Role

Our Combined Surgical Ward is a vibrant and fast-paced environment, offering care across a wide range of surgical specialties — including general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, and gynaecology. We're a tight-knit team that values partnership, collaboration, and compassionate care. Working closely with our multidisciplinary colleagues, we're committed to delivering safe, high-quality nursing that leaves a lasting, positive impression on our patients and their whānau.
We're currently looking for two enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled Nurses to join our awesome team. These are permanent positions, offering 0.7 and 0.8 FTE, and involve rostered and rotating shifts. You'll be working in a fast-paced, supportive environment that encourages you to work at the top of your scope, while being part of a team that's passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The combined surgical ward offers a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopaedics, urology and gynaecology for adult patients which can be both challenging and rewarding.
We collaborate and work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to provide quality coordinated patient care and are committed to delivering safe nursing care that results in a positive patient and whanau experience.

About you
We're looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Enrolled Nurse to join our team! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience or be familiar with preoperative and postoperative care, pain management and wound care.

Have excellent communication and time management skills

Strong customer focus and initiative as well as the ability to work under pressure.
