Ko te kaupapa | About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with current New Zealand Nurse Registration with recent Neonatal and/or Paediatric experience to join our specialist paediatric service.
Our Paediatric Department consists of 7 Inpatient beds, a 4 Cot Level 2 Special Care Baby Unit, a 2 bed Paediatric Assessment Unit, a Children's Homecare Service and offers both Inpatient and Outpatient Assessment and management for children from neonatal to 15 years of age.
The role requires a motivated health professional who is child and whānau focussed. You will also be involved with providing education and information to parents, taking an active role in the multi-disciplinary team and self-motivated to promote opportunities for professional development, knowledge and skills.
To join our team, you will have need to have a minimum of two years' recent nursing experience with paediatric and/or neonatal knowledge preferred. If you are a team player, passionate about quality patient care and being a part of an equally passionate team, then we would love to hear from you.

You will have NZ Nurse Registration, excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a skilled team. You will need to have great work organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, committed to whānau centred care, with an on-going commitment to service improvement. We will provide you with an orientation package and ongoing support to develop the skills required to work in this specialty area.
