We are looking for a dynamic Senior Midwife who is passionate about leading the maternity service and midwifery team at Whanganui Hospital and the remote rural midwifery team in Raetihi.
This Senior Midwife position involves managing the 14 bed Maternity ward and supporting teams to cohesively provide exceptional care to our women, whānau and communities. This role is an opportunity to lead an engaged team in evidence-based care that delivers excellence, safety and that is guided by the core values of Health NZ/Te Whatu Ora Whanganui.

You will be able to provide:

Demonstrate experience in:
- Quality Initiatives
- Change Management
- Clinical Audit
- Policy Development
Demonstrate relevant knowledge of:
- Patient Safety and Service Standards
- Resource Management including budgeting, equipment and staff management
You will have:
- Five years Post Graduate experience
- Completed a relevant PGDip and significant work towards a Masters
- A sound understanding of the NZ Midwifery model of care, including legislative and service specifications
