We are seeking someone with enthusiasm, commitment and creative thinking that has the skills and vision to grow occupational therapy, support staff and work alongside others to develop the model of occupational therapy services for our consumers. In this advanced clinician / leadership position, you will work with other occupational therapy/ whakaora ngangahau staff and across the care continuum at top of scope to lead change and bring innovation and transformation to acute mental health occupational therapy/ whakaora ngangahau.
Occupational Therapy/ Whakaora Ngangahau is a critical service in a new model of care focused on primary health and community rehabilitation integration to deliver positive health outcomes for patients and communities. Career development opportunities in allied health strategic leadership positions are also emerging as part of restructuring with a clear priority to develop allied health practice within the district.
MidCentral is the major provider, funder and planner of health and disability services throughout the greater Manawatu region, including the 300-bed Palmerston North Hospital.
