Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
An exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as the IOC Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) on a full time or part time permanent basis has arisen. You will be based at Hutt Hospital responding to variance and clinical support. The responsibilities of the CRN duties will include providing clinical expertise, mentoring, resource assistance and response. The CRN will work closely with the Duty Nurse Manager (DNM). The DNM will retain the responsibility for delegating duties to the CRN according to the needs of the clinical areas at the time.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
The IOC is responsible for the effective operational management of the 24 hours 7 days hospital service delivery Hutt Hospital. Our service supports clinical teams, systems, processes and resources that facilitate safe and effective service delivery across the organisation.
Moū - About you
You'll support the Nurse Manager, DNMs and programme coordinators such as TrendCare and Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) team to ensure the service requirements are met, and organisation imperatives such as variance response management and capacity bed management is delivered continuously by ensuring excellent contemporaneous coordination and communication.
You will need to have the legal right to work in New Zealand, and hold a current work visa to be eligible for the role.
The hours of work are rostered and rotating, 0730 to 1600 hrs (AM shift), 15 30 to 2400 hours (PM shift) and 2330 to 0800(Night) Monday to Sunday and on public holidays (Night) Monday to Sunday and on public holidays.

The ideal candidate will already have:
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Postgraduate Certificate in Nursing
- NZRC Level 6
- Proficient or Expert on the PDRP
- Critical care experience
- Advanced Pain Management experience
- Advanced experience with wound care, tracheostomy, chest drain and central venous cannulation management.
