Medical Imaging Technologist (Mammographer)

Service: Regional Breast Screening
Contract: Permanent, Part Time (0.6FTE / 24 hours per week)
Salary: As per MECA; $95,828 - $106,000 per annum (pro rata)
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic mammographer with an interest in women - s health who would like to join our diverse and friendly team. They will play a key role in the delivery of both the symptomatic service and Breast Screen Aotearoa (BSA) national screening programme for the eligible population of the Wellington region. Our service has recently upgraded to state of the art equipment, capable of Tomosynthesis, Contrast Enhanced Mammography and Vacuum assisted Biopsies. A flexible approach to the needs of the service is essential as there is a requirement for evening and weekend work.

Moū - About you
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and motivated individual with an in-depth understanding of mammography and breast imaging including Tomosynthesis. The post holder should have a New Zealand recognised post graduate mammography qualification which is BreastScreen Aotearoa (BSA) accredited. They will perform high quality routine and specialized mammography whilst maintaining a high standard of patient care. They also assist in Stereo core biopsies, vacuum assisted biopsies and excisions. You will also be expected to take part in the department QA Programme.
