Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent Level 5 NZ Qualified Pharmacy Technician position. Your primary role as a Pharmacy Technician will be to provide dispensing, manufacturing, and repacking services in a hospital environment. There are potential opportunities to participate in ward-based multidisciplinary teams, assisting the pharmacists with medicines reconciliation, assessment of patients - own medicines, and discharge counselling. This role will primarily be based at the Hutt Hospital campus, but may require you to work at the other hospitals within the District.

As a pharmacy department, we have a strong clinical presence across all areas of the hospital and linkages into our local community. We provide a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical care and extended roles to a variety of clinical areas. Our team values professional growth and development and is focused on safe and effective medicines management for our patients.
Moū - About you
You are a NZ Qualified Level 5 Pharmacy Technician; hospital experience preferred, but not necessary. You are highly self-motivated, enjoy working with other health professionals, can demonstrate effective teamwork, and have good oral and written communication. You are also keen to learn and develop your professional growth with the support of a Lead Pharmacy Technician, a friendly pharmacy team, and other healthcare professionals.
