Contract: Permanent - Full Time - part time can be considered - rotating/rostered shifts
Salary: $66,570 to $95,340 As per PSA
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We have opportunities for Registered Community Mental Health Nurses to work in a supportive and safe environment as Triage/Call Centre Operators. This is a unique chance where you could have the flexibility of working remotely and hours that suit your lifestyle.
We answer questions about mental health, including from families/whānau who are worried about their loved ones, manage access to mental health and addiction services and assist people who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Our service is for everyone from Wellington, Porirua, Kāpiti, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.
We can offer part time work, and some flexibility with shifts.
After completing your 4-6 week orientation and training, we can provide you with a laptop and phone/headset so you can either be based at our awesome office in Porirua or work remotely in a non-public space

Te Haika is the Wellington region mental health and addiction contact centre for people in crisis or have moderate to severe mental health or addiction problems. It is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by experienced and registered mental health and addiction professionals.
Our team is friendly, supportive and welcoming and would love for you to join us. We offer specialist mental health telephone triage training as well as ongoing professional supervision and development.
Moū - About you
You need to be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, who has had experience working in a community Mental Health team and also experienced in mental health triage and risk assessment. Our work is complex and time limited so you will be a skilled, experienced nurse who thinks fast and loves variety in your work. You will pride yourself on good customer service and have a person centred and recovery focus.
