Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

This role is based in Kenepuru hospital with both inpatient rehabilitation and an outpatient clinic workload. This role includes engagement in a rehabilitation ward with a multidisciplinary team working as well as working autonomously in an outpatient setting, including working with people with diabetes. 

Whilst this position is full-time, permanent, we do have other positions available within our team, both permanent part-time or full-time. We therefore encourage applications from all Dietitians considering working in Kenepuru Hospital.

Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team

The Kenepuru Inpatient Allied Health team consists of over 35 Allied Health staff from six different professions that work across four inpatient wards. When working on the wards there are shared office spaces for Allied Health, and Dietitians have another office available within the outpatient clinic area.

As a team, we work closely together to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients and their whanau. We also have a strong focus on living our organisational values of Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga and Rangatiratanga. 

As a member of our team of dietitians at Kenepuru Hospital, you will be supported with regular professional development opportunities to assist you in meeting your continuing competency requirements, as well as regular clinical supervision. We are a team that loves to learn and share knowledge.

Kenepuru Hospital is located in Porirua, with free parking and easy access to the motorway and Transmission Gully.  There is also close access to the Kapiti train line at Kenepuru Station and regular bus connections. 

Moū - About you

Working with a diverse group of patients with significant health needs, you - ll demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills and have a flexible, problem solving approach. You will have the ability to quickly build strong working relationships with patients, whānau and the wider multidisciplinary team and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills. It would be favourable to have experience working with diabetics and patients with neurological conditions, however we strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds with the right skills and experience who share our values to apply. We would greatly value seeing more applicants from our Māori and Pacific communities.
