This is a new role, and what makes it unique is that we are looking for someone who will help develop the team - s capabilities to genuinely work with, for, and alongside Māori clients and providers adopting processes that genuinely reflect Māori kaupapa. Our aim is to elevate the mana of culturally-safe practice among our team and colleagues. A key outcome will be to reduce barriers and redress equity gaps consistent with Te Pae Tata.
Based in Hokitika (Southern Region of West Coast), we are looking for an experienced Māori mental health registered Health Professional who is motivated to expand their knowledge and skills and develop their career in mental health community setting and who is excited to take on the challenge this opportunity presents to shape the working model of our team. There will be opportunities and support for professional development and ongoing role development.
In this role you will be working with not only our Mental Health Services but also the PHO and other NGO - s across the coast to ensure that the service that we are providing is integrated and seamless. Our ideal candidate will be innovative and well-organised in their way of working with a high level of honesty, transparency and accountability.
