Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital is currently seeking experienced, positive and dynamic Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department, on a Full Time or Part Time basis. The beautiful Hawke’s Bay is a great place to live and provides the opportunity for the perfect work life balance.
About the Role:
Our Emergency Department (ED) sees over 55,000 patients each year. The ED is staffed by a vibrant and dedicated multidisciplinary team who work together provide emergency care to people from across the entire Hawke’s Bay region 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.
About You:
As a Registered Nurse, you will -
- Have a current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Possess a wide range of clinical skills and experience within the nursing field (preferably 12+ months experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute area of a NZ secondary or tertiary hospital)
- Have the ability to assess, plan, initiate, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of the patient
- Be available for a mixture of shifts which will include weekdays, afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays
In addition, you will also have -
- An understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration
- Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice in New Zealand
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Enjoy a challenge and be ready for whatever the day will bring
- A focus on time management and great communication skills
- A commitment to the hospital values which are integral to our everyday practice in ED; Tauwhiro – Care, Raranga te tira – Partnership, He kauanuanu – Respect, and Akina – Improvement
