Would you like to be part of a dedicated, energetic and creative team of people who are entrusted with the assessment and rehabilitation of those newly diagnosed or living with neurological condition in our community by supporting their safety and functional independence to get well, live well or stay well in their community?
As part of an extension to our Neuro Rehabilitation Service, we are offering an Occupational Therapist with neurological rehabilitation experience the opportunity to utilise their clinical knowledge and expertise, the chance to showcase their skills and be part of the supportive, dynamic and forward thinking Engage Community Allied Health Service at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Te Matau a Māui, Hawke’s Bay.
Our ideal candidate will be flexible, with an ability to work autonomously and within both interprofessional and multidisciplinary models of care. We want a ‘can do’ person who has a passion for doing whatever it takes to improve the lives of those needing our service.
No two days will look the same, there will never be a shortage of work but we will have lots of fun along the way and provide a great team spirit.
This position involves working with people both in an outpatient environment and in their own homes and being part of a service that cares about their community and their team.
Our jobs are very serious and have huge impacts on the lives of others but along the way you will build relationships and comradeship with the team who will support you in your everyday work.
Engage Community Allied Health Service employ over 40 staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, Speech Language Therapists, and Therapy Assistants who work together to achieve the best outcomes for our health consumers.
You will be supported by the engAGE Team Leader and the Social Work Professional Advisor and have the opportunity for CPD and professional supervision.

New Zealand registration current annual practicing certificate and current driving license are essential
