Clinical Pharmacy Team Leader

We’re looking for a senior pharmacist who has the drive and passion to make a positive difference by providing strategic direction and clinical supervision to our clinical pharmacy team.
The Clinical Pharmacy Team Lead provides professional and clinical supervision to the clinical pharmacy team (both pharmacists and technicians providing clinical services on the wards), ensuring optimal use of staff and resources to deliver quality patient care. This role coordinates closely with the Chief Pharmacist to support the development of clinical staff and the Pharmacy Manager to ensure operational service needs are met. As a key member of the pharmacy leadership team, you will offer strategic leadership to the clinical pharmacy services working across Health New Zealand Tairawhiti hospital & specialist services.
The role requires strong clinical knowledge, positive role modelling, an awareness of clinical governance and legislation to optimise patient outcome through quality improvement and service development.
The successful candidate will maintain some patient-facing case load, occasional dispensary duties and on call as rostered.

The remuneration range for this role is $107,000 - $132,000 dependent on experience and is covered by the collective agreement: Apex and HNZ Pharmacy Services Agreement

· Be a NZ registered pharmacist and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
· Be willing to participate in the on call roster
Overseas pharmacists will be considered if you can meet the requirements to register as a pharmacist in NZ (without having to do the 1-year pharmacy internship first).
