Gisborne Careers Logo

Position:              Senior Physiotherapist

Contract:             Permanent - Full time positions

Salary:                 PSA Allied MECA Allied, Public Health & Technical scale, Step 1 – 8 ($59,035 to $85,992)

Location:             Gisborne Hospital

We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Senior Physiotherapist to work within a fun, friendly and supportive team managing a challenging and varied clinical workload.

This permanent position is based in our busy Inpatient wards, where the successful applicant will be providing Physiotherapy services for a variety of respiratory, neurological and orthopaedic conditions.

In our regional centre we manage a wide range of conditions, therefore a generalist physiotherapy skill set is highly valued. However you will find opportunities to develop and grow into a number of special interest areas provided in the inpatient setting.

Ongoing clinical and professional development is strongly encouraged and supported by management with individual support, an established inservice training programme and external courses.

This Physiotherapist will also be supporting the weekend and on-call service.

If you’re looking for a supportive, fun and high-energy team then you've found it! We are like family and have an awesome team of physios who love what they do. We aim to make our work as enjoyable and effective for ourselves and our consumers, as possible.

Tūranga-nui-a-Kiwa/Gisborne is on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand and is the first city in the world to see the sun each day.  The region has a population of approximately 50,000 and is well known for its relaxed lifestyle, surf and beautiful rural and beach environments.  There is plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors and experience excellent work-life balance.

All applicants are required to be New Zealand registered with the Physiotherapy Board and hold a current annual practicing certificate.
