OCCUPATIONAL OR PHYSIOTHERAPIST FOR VISITING NEURODEVELOPMENTAL THERAPY ROLE, CHILD DEVELOPMENT SERVICE 1.0 FTE
Position: Occupatoinal Therapist/Physiotherapist
Contract: Permanent - Full time position
Salary: PSA Allied MECA Allied, Public Health & Technical scale, Step 1 – 10 ($59,035 to $90,534)
Location: Gisborne Hospital
Are you interested in working with children with disabilities and their whānau in a community focused service using an equitable and transdisciplinary model of practice?
Applicants must be a NZ registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with;
- A current practising certificate
- A thorough knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and a sensitivity to different cultures
- A current, clean drivers’ license
- A ‘whatever it takes’ approach.
We are seeking therapists with a knowledge of a range of therapies appropriate for children e.g. Bobath, Sensory Integration. However, if you don’t and are keen to develop paediatric skills and learn how to work in a transdisciplinary model with whanau we can offer you a unique opportunity to participate in comprehensive education and on the job training.
