Mō te tūnga | About the role
We are seeking a permanent, part time or fulltime SMO with experience in Fetal Medicine and High Risk Obstetrics to join us in the Women's Health Department.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, including obstetricians and obstetric medicine, specialist midwifery, radiology and sonography, neonatology, genetics, paediatric pathology, paediatric cardiology, surgery, and neurology.
Starting as soon as possible. Clinical duties are Part Time ( 0.75/ 30 hours per week) or full time (1 FTE/ 40 hours per week). You will also be required to take part in the obstetrics and gynaecology on call roster.
Personal Specification:
Education & Qualifications - Professional
Essential
- Possession of the Certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine (CMFM) or Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) or equivalent experience
Experience/Knowledge
Essential
- Be a specialist with skills in Fetal medicine, ultrasound, counselling, and procedures
- Experience in contributing to maternal medicine services working alongside obstetric physicians
- Proven clinical Obstetrics experience.
Desired
- Acute gynaecology experience including management of cervical insufficiency including cerclage, and management of miscarriage
- Research and guideline development experience
