Hauora Māori Kaimahi - Māori Health Worker ICU

- Permanent position 40 hours per week.
Mō te tūnga | About the role
We - re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Kaimahi Hauora Māori - Māori Health Worker with a - can-do - attitude to join our Allied Health staff working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on a permanent, full time basis (40hrs per week). This position is Monday to Friday, but there may be some weekend work as part of your rostered duties.
The Hauora Māori Tīma has shared accountability for assisting in developing an environment of opportunity and choice for tūtoro and whānau consistent with Te Tiriti o Waitangi within this service amongst others. We specialise in Guidance, support and facilitation to Māori patients to deliver a quality bi-cultural service and record patient interactions in clinical records to agreed standards to aid treatment planning.

The Hauora Māori Kaimahi is responsible for:
- Supporting the provision of our ICU service.
- Support service delivery consistent with Tikanga Best Practice standards, to best meet the needs of Tūroro Māori and their whanau
- Implement models of care (Te Whare Tapa Whā - Māori health model) as the way of working for Hauora Māori staff.
- Provide support, guidance and input to clinical and allied health service staff through involvement in multidisciplinary clinical teams and networks.
