Community Mental Health Nurse - West Community

  • 0.8FTE fixed term, position at West Adult Community
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and must have a mental health scope of practice.

The Team: What we do 

The West Adult Community Mental Health Service is one of four city-based teams that provide an assessment and treatment service for consumers with mental illnesses aged between 18 - 65 years, and work closely with their families/ whanau - both in the community and alongside inpatient services. 

The Role: Where you fit in

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse  to join the West community team as a community mental health nurse who will work closely with consumers and their whanau.

Under the West Community team, the case management position entails providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment, case management, and therapeutic interventions for our clients and their family/ whanau. You will work as a multi-disciplinary team member, where there is a strong focus on returning clients to primary health care sector following specialist input. You will be experienced with managing and responding to crises.

This position requires registered nurses with experience in mental health.

Full Driver-s license is essential.

0.8 FTE fixed term (until July 2023).
