We are seeking suitably qualified Colorectal and Upper GI Surgeons for full time positions working in Christchurch, New Zealand.

You would work as a lead surgeon or physician and endoscopist in one or more of our three centres, with the opportunity to establish a niche within colorectal and digestive care. In our unique working environment, clinicians have the opportunity of flexible hours, no acute call and reduced out-of-hours work, as well as support for research and teaching.

Colorectal Surgeon

• You will have had advanced training and experience in colorectal surgery, including laparoscopic surgery and management of pelvic floor conditions, and you are a competent endoscopist.

Upper GI Surgeon

• You have a high level of experience in laparoscopic Upper GI surgery and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
• You should have maintained excellence of care in the surgery of the Upper Gastrointestinal tract encompassing the oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, liver and biliary tract.

Our client is New Zealand's leading pelvic floor unit and most experienced minimally invasive colorectal centre. The clinical director introduced laparoscopic colorectal surgery to New Zealand.
