Duty Nurse Manager - Casual position

He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
The Duty Nurse Manager Team are looking for a suitability qualified Registered Nurse who is versatile, has excellent problem-solving skills and has positive, patient focused attitude to join us as a casual Nurse Manager.
This role is based in Whakatāne, and you will be joining a highly skilled and supportive team in a provincial hospital providing 24/7 medical cover for our community.
A key focus for Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is to build a sustainable workforce at Whakatāne Hospital whilst achieving equity in health outcomes for our Eastern Bay community.
He korero mōu - About You
Our preferred candidate will:
- Be able to work rostered shifts across all seven days
- Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a full range of clinical skills including cannulation, venepuncture and ACLS
- Have significant and varied clinical experience in an acute setting (essential)
- Shift coordination and staff management experience
- Post graduate qualification or working towards these is preferred
