Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne. We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.
He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
The Paediatric Department at Whakatāne Hospital are sought to recruit a General Pediatrician to complement our team. Whakatāne Hospital is in the main urban area and has a secondary paediatric unit, 4 bed neonatal unit and provides outpatient services in Whakatāne.
This is a permanent full-time position (however, part-time will be considered) and will participate in equal share of after hours calls with four other colleagues, for general Paediatrics and level two neonates.

You will be joining a group of highly motivated multi-skilled General Paediatricians who are committed to working collegially with each other and with a multidisciplinary Child Health Team to provide high quality, responsive medical care for children.

Applicants should hold FRACP and General Paediatrics.
