He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our evolving Child Mental Health team as we move towards utilising professional expertise to meet the needs of our community.

This is a fabulous opportunity to work within a friendly and supportive Child mental health service which promotes opportunity to utilise & develop your OT skills. We believe an OT would enhance the services therapeutic interventions and be part of dynamic Multi- Disciplinary Team. We are looking for an OT with a passion for managing and running groups, as well as a knowledge and skills in sensory assessment and support.

The successful applicant will ideally have experience in the Child and/or Adolescent Mental Health field and will have experience with delivering group therapies and/or case management and /or carrying out sensory assessments.

The Bay of Plenty Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service have made a commitment to evidence based practice, with a client focused model of care.

This is a permanent full-time position however we have flexible FTE and are open to applications from candidates looking for 0.7 – 1.0 FTE (28 – 40 hours per week).
