An opportunity has arisen in Lakes DHB for experienced Registered Nurses with acute mental health experience to become part of the Acute Response Team based in Rotorua The position will at times incorporate service delivery in Taupo. 

This is an exciting opportunity, particularly given current service development initiatives related to the community-facing, inter-sectorial model of care, Te Ara Tauwhirotanga:  Pathways that lead us to act with kindness.

Te Ara Tauwhirotanga  acknowledges that health, wellbeing and opportunities for healing and recovery are a basic human right and that this can only occur when local, regional and national systems work well together.   The model is the product of an extensive co-design process, aligns to He Ara Oranga and is designed around three central Pou (pillars) of Tikanga (Values), Tangata (People) and Taiao (Environment).
As a registered nurse in the Acute Response Team you will have a specialist skill base in acute clinical assessment and intervention. The successful applicant will be competent in all facets of care and multi-disciplinary team working. It is also expected that you would have excellent interpersonal skills and have a strong client focus, cultural competence and a flexible approach. 

You must be a New Zealand Registered nurse eligible to work in Mental Health and have a current APC with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an acute mental health setting

Salary range; $72,061 - $95,340 pro rated to hours worked
