He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

We have permanent vacancies for Health Case Assistants in our 40 bed, elective and acute care Orthopaedic Ward at Tauranga Hospital.  The role of the Health Care Assistant involves working under the direction of our highly motivated, friendly and enthusiastic nursing team who are committed to delivering comprehensive quality care to patients having had elective surgery, or experienced trauma.

Within this ward is an eight bed focused Orthopaedic Geriatric Unit to support patients as they make the transition back into the community setting. The goal of the orthopaedic ward is to provide individualised focused patient care in a safe, supportive environment. 

He korero mōu - About You

Applicants must have recent experience and have completed a Certificate in Health Care Assistance Level 4 (or other equivalent qualification.) You will need to be available to work across all seven days of the week, including morning, afternoon and night shifts.

As per the Nursing NZNO MECA, the salary range for this position is $46,182 - $53,803 (Steps 1 - 5).
