He kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We have two part-time permanent positions available for experienced Health Care Assistants to work in our Acute Medical ward. Hours to be worked are 64 hours per fortnight, based at the Tauranga Hospital.
The role of the Health Care Assistant is to assist the Registered Nurse to deliver a high standard of nursing care to patients. The positions involve working under the direction of our friendly and enthusiastic nursing team who are committed to delivering comprehensive quality care to patients.
Applicants should hold a NZQA Health Care Assistant Programme Level 4 Certificate in Health Care Assistance or equivalent.
Knowledge of Tikanga, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the principles of Kaupapa Maori is also an asset. Applicants must be committed to implementing Te Toi Ahorangi Strategy to ensure patients and their whanau move towards Toi Ora.
