Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
The Bay of Plenty District Health Board is currently seeking casual Registered Nurses to work in the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at Whakatāne Hospital.
The Special Care Baby Unit is a Level 2 unit with 4 cots. We provide short-term high dependency care including CPAP and stabilisation of infants requiring intensive care before transfer to a NICU. We work closely with whānau to provide excellent care to both mothers and babies.
Kō Matariki is a secondary care unit with approximately 650 births per annum. The community we provide care to is a rural and semi-rural area with a 60% Māori population.
Ko Wai Koe - About You
If you are compassionate and have experience in working with neonates, then we'd love to hear from you! This role will be based in SCBU and will work as part of the Kō Matariki Maternity ward team too.
